I’m a freelance contractor. I care about journalism and the companies navigating its grueling landscape. I’ve spent 15 years building consumer products and partnerships that depend on publishers and creators to succeed. I’ve developed product strategy for publishers and content strategy for platforms. I’ve coached, trained and bargained with biz, product and executive teams. I like shiny new things but I’m particularly interested in building sustainability. I can help you find the right mix.
I most recently managed partnerships for Twitter’s early stage product team, where I launched Twitter Blue and Notes. I was previously the head of partnerships for Scroll, a consumer membership built on a new reader revenue model (acquired by Twitter). I launched notifications and subscriptions for Apple News, audience and revenue partnerships for Time Inc., and a global customer success team at ScribbleLive (back when everyone was liveblogging). I’ve written everything from articles and tweets to sales decks, white papers and company blogs. I live and bike in Brooklyn.
Hire me to:
- launch chaotic early stage products
- develop content & revenue strategy
- build partnerships that don’t screw anyone over (bullshit & risk analysis)
- make biz ops less annoying
- help tech teams build empathy for publishers
- market, onboard, survey and support consumers
- bring your weird ideas to life
